Personally, I love the book. It taught me a lot of things I didn't even know before. Not the "sex" part...
Well, not JUST the SEX part but also, there are other things in the story that made me think about "unusual" relationships. Unusual in the sense that its not usual...LOL... Well, that's true! From the way Christian was being treated when he was still a kid to being a multi-millionaire CEO. But the part that intrigued me most about it is the way he handles his relationship. He was abused in the past. He was molested when he was a teen-ager. There's a part in the story where Christian is always reiterating about the way Mrs. R helped him to success. (This is the part I don't like about it!)
One of the main reasons Christian become a BDSM is because of his angst. He doesn't know how to let it out when he was a kid and that's when he met Mrs. R. So let's stop talking about her and talk about the leading lady.
Anastasia Steel is a sweet, wonderful girl. She loved Christian even though she knew of the "unusual things" he's doing. And that's what I like about her. She is so capable of loving someone knowing that they are not so perfect. Thinking about the story makes me wonder if ever there are still people like that in the real world.
Can you answer that? I can't.
I had a debate about the book of 50 Shades of Grey. It was good while it last. I defended the book but there was a moment there when I thought about what Shamica (Malaya Flores) asked me that time.
She asked me if I would let my daughter date someone like Christian Grey? And my answer is I really wouldn't mind. Well, that's not true. I would mind!
Because I'm the one who's gonna date him.
LOL.
